The Colonial Knife brand Colonial-switchblade knife and manufacturer of general purpose sport knives is a division of Colonial Cutlery International, Inc.   The Colonial Knife brand has one of the highest collectible rating of any knife brand, over 90 years of manufacturing Shur-Snap®, Snappy® and other popular "Colonial-switchblade" knives and jack knives since 1926 in Providence, Rhode Island; in mint condition, a 1950 circa "Colonial-switchblade"-knives have fetched on the collector market as much as $500.00
