Colonial Knife verssus the Competition

Colonial Knife verssus the Competition

At Colonial, our ability to understand that the prime purpose of any knife, is to cut well, and we ensure this by monitoring the blade steel material throughout the hardening process to continually achieve a 58-60 C Rockwell hardness. A Rockwell hardness over 60 C and a blade will be prone to edge chipping, a Rockwell hardness of less than 58 C and the cutting edge will dull fast and prove arduous to re-sharpen.  Our 100 years of experience has proven that no matter it if is crappy steel or exotic, it makes no difference if it's not hardened properly.
