I did not find you to be rude, besides, I'm just thankful you're not a "Troll", I recently learned that term. Our knives may seem expensive compared to the imports, and we here at Colonial Knife ® battle for sales against the imports on a daily basis, a couple of things to understand about Colonial Knife ® that make us a better knife company. 1) we are fanatical about the Rockwell hardness of blades; I have noticed over the past decade that many knife companies have been bought out by big business'. These corporate folks know business but not knife making or the first rule of knife making, no matter what type of steel is used, if not properly heat treated, it will not work, meaning difficult to re-sharpen and won't hold an edge. China does not offer that type of service and in fact, I don't know any Knife company that offers that. 2) left hand opening versus right-back in my dad's day, Colonial made that type of switchblade knife, in 2000 when we won the contract to manufacture the military issue M-724 rescue paratrooper knife we were not allowed to make "ANY" modifications/improvements , it must be manufactured as it was originally designed in 1963 for the airborne troops being deployed in Europe and Southeast Asia and so we kept the first switchblade and those after it with a right hand opening, I and others can open our switchblades with either hand, but then, we do it all day long.

I hope I did not get too long winded, but I love this stuff.
