Extra large deploy lock buttons to allow easy manipulation while wearing work gloves or cold weather mittens. The handle is molded from Isoplast, the same material used in molding hard hats, power casings, and snow board bindings. Designed by Adam Smith of the Rhode Island School of design and then updated with the blades designed by Blackie Collins. Open framed design of the same rugged polymer rand carry a stubby, 1 inch-long, drop -point ATS-34 chain-saw-cutting serrated mounted to a 3 1/4-inch long handle. All the Blackie Collins signature series use the same style firing mechanism. The safety protrudes further than the firing button so there is no confusion between the two.
