The 5200 Tuckerman Ravine Knife with ASSISTED OPENING  AFFORDABILITY CRAFTSMANSHIP QUALITY

The model 5200 Tuckerman Knife, designed for one handed blade opening, the 5200 Tuckerman ravine knife has a pocket clip and lanyard hole for easy carry. The 5200 Tuckerman Knife isn't a tourist novelty, though, who doesn't love spring skiing or November ice climbing in the bowl? The blade on the 5200 assisted opening "Tuckerman Ravine Knife" is hardened Rockwell 58-C,  440-A  cutlery stainless steel, and extremely sharp.  We are climbers, both rock and ice and we see others carrying cheap knock-offs of knives, don't get caught like Aron Lee Ralston known for having survived a canyoneering accident in southeastern Utah in 2003, during which he BARELY amputated his own right forearm with a dull pocketknife in order to free himself, he was given a  "cheap knock-off", he really didn't know the difference or importance of quality blade steel, and most people don't, but it does matter, especially in an emergency

Special note, in climbing, the pocket knife we carry is seldom, IF EVER, used for cutting our climbing rope, we do everything by backing up our systems, and regardless if our knife blade locks in the closed position, we tape the knife closed, accidents in climbing, especially in the back country, can be deadly, and any knife, If accidentally dropped the locking mechanism,  through impact, could cause the blade to accidentally deploy, seriously injuring those below.

Clip the lanyard onto a climbers carabiner then clip onto your chalk bag, or harness, should you need a blade, it's there, easy to reach, one hand opening.

The 5200 Tuckerman knife, tips the scale at 2 ounces, and its 3-1/4- inch blade and 4.5- inch no-slip handle make for very light and compact carry. The blade is half serrated and half straight edge offering the best of both worlds.  Ambidextrous, left or right one hand opening, the hollow-ground non-reflective finish blade has three quarters of an inch of jimping on its spine for added blade control. The 5200 Tuckerman Knife blade is razor sharp right out of the box, heat treated to a perfect 58-C for easy re-sharpening and blade edge retention the  blade has a liner lock, its liner lock engages positively preventing the blade from accidentally closing. The 5200 Tuckerman Ravine Knife also features a "spring steel"  belt clip, it comes set for tip-up left side carry and can be swapped to right-side tip-down carry. The scales and liner edges are well rounded and smooth, making this comfortable to hold.
