Mark 1 U.S. Navy General Purpose Deck Knife
A Piece of History, Ready for Today
In the early days of WWII, sailors often carried their own knives from home. But in 1941, the U.S. Navy standardized the Mark 1 as the official issue for every sailor. Colonial knife answered the call, producing hundreds of thousands of these knives for the war effort.
Today, the Colonial- Mark 1 is not just a collector's item or reenactor's piece-it is a rugged, dependable everyday carry knife. Weighting only 4.7 ounces, with a 5 1/8-inch blade and an overall length of 10 1/4 inches, it strikes the perfect balance between size, strength and comfort.
Care and Use
*Sharp out of the box: Designed for immediate use, just like its wartime predecessor.
*Carbon steel character: Unlike stainless steel, high-carbon blades can develop a natural patina and will rust if not properly maintained. A light coat of oil will keep your knife in fighting condition.
*Functional finish: The black oxide coating reduces reflection but is not rust-proof. Periodic care ensures longevity.
Own a true American classic. Whether you're a collector, outdoorsman, or someone who appreciates dependable gear with history, the Mark 1 US Navy General Purpose Deck Knife delivers authenticity, performance, and heritage-made in the USA
